Nurse Assist 24/7 was founded by Amanda Damon, a registered nurse with extensive experience in ICU and intensive care. When Amanda immigrated to Australia, she was introduced to the disabilities sector while working at Lady Lawley Cottage. This experience opened her eyes to the pressing need for specialized care, particularly for children with complex health needs. Amanda’s passion for providing high-quality care led her to seize the opportunity to start her own business in this vital sector. What began as a small organization with just three staff members has now grown to a dedicated team of 103 within just three years. This rapid expansion reflects the significant demand for high-intensity complex care services in our community.
